Getting Help To Stop Smoking

The doctors and practice nurses can help you to cut down and stop smoking, with advice, carbon monoxide checks and nicotine replacement therapy.

Travel Immunisations

Travelling abroad increases your risk of infection. Protect yourself with the recommended immunisations but try not to leave them until just before you go as you will be better protected if the immunisations are spaced correctly. For Africa, India or South America, allow about two months to complete the course.

Some travel vaccinations and malaria prophylaxis are not available at public expense so must be paid for privately.

Specialist Clinics

The surgery is committed to giving our patients the best medical care within the practice environment.

We currently run a diabetic clinic for our patients. This clinic is run outside of our normal surgery clinic times and enables us to give more time and attention to the extra needs of our diabetic patients. Included within this clinic is a thorough examination and advice from the doctor, practice nurse, dietician and podiatrist.

We also run a specialist coronary heart disease clinic, for all patients with heart problems and patients with hypertension (high blood pressure).

If you have any further questions about these clinics, or feel that you should be invited to attend, please contact the practice manager
