** FRIDAY 7th AUGUST** – We currently have a BT engineer on site to replaced some damaged cables which means there may be intermittent interruptions to our telephone and computer systems throughout the day. If you cannot get through on the telephone, please email [email protected] and we will contact you as soon as we are able. Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause today.
Please see the above link (or extract below) for new guidance regarding face masks for staff and patients. Here at Clifton Hampden Surgery the safety of our staff and patients is paramount, and we are therefore adopting this advice and asking ALL patients who attend a surgery appointment from Monday 15th June 2020 to do so with a face covering. The link below shows how to easily make a face covering at home.
“Evidence from the Scientific Advisory Group for Emergencies (SAGE) previously confirmed face coverings can help reduce the risk of transmission if you are suffering from coronavirus, but not showing symptoms. NHS staff already wear face masks in clinical areas within 2 metres of a patient, but this new guidance applies to everyone working in all areas.
Members of the public are strongly urged to attend hospital wearing a face covering, but a face mask will be provided in emergencies.
Last month, government set out advice for people on how to make their own face coverings easily at home, using scarves or other textile items. These face coverings should cover the mouth and nose while allowing the wearer to breathe comfortably and can be as simple as a scarf or bandanna that ties behind the head to give a snug fit.”
